Welcome to the Middle East Library Partnership Project.

The aim of this project was to better understand opportunities for and obstacles to collaborations between libraries and cultural institutions in Middle East nations and the United States.

The project ran from July 2014 to July 2015 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was generously funded through a grant fromĀ the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation under theĀ Scholarly Communications and Information Technology Program.

The Middle East Library Partnership Project sought to draw on experience and expertise from several different academic units at UNC-Chapel Hill as well as a number of global library and information science organizations. For a full list of personnel and advisors, please see the project’s People page.

For a list of documents related to project activities, including the final report and published paper, please see the Project Documents page.

The project’s datasets were archived in September 2019 at the ACSS Dataverse.
