The Middle East Library Partnership Project closed its activities at the end of June this year.
Over the course of the year, we conducted an array of activities aimed at better understanding the state of international collaboration in Middle East libraries. These included:
- a survey of library and information professionals and educators in the Middle East;
- an exploration of the availability of online catalogs for Middle East libraries;
- multiple meetings and open discussions with library and information science researchers and professionals on topics pertaining to the development and enhancement of collaboration between U.S. and Middle East libraries.
A full report of activities and recommendations for future research will be submitted to the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and posted on this site when complete.
